Step 1

Take a photo of your favorite Newport tree.          

• Maximum of 3 entries per person.
• The tree may be private or public; you do not have to be the owner of the tree.
• The tree must be photographed from a public street or right-of-way — do not
  trespass on private property to photograph your tree.
• The first nominee of any particular tree is the official entrant.
• All photos become property of the Newport Tree Society
• Contest runs from April 30 through November 30, 2010

 

Step 2

Fill out our online contest application.         

Don’t have a digital camera? Send in your entry in hardcopy to:

Step 3

Within 48 hours you can visit our website to see your entry in our photo gallery and interactive map.

The winner will receive a framed professional photograph of the winning tree.

One copy of the photograph will become part of the Newport Tree and Open Space Commission library and displayed publicly, while a second copy will be given to the nominator. A digital copy of the photo will also become a permanent part of the website, as do all photos of the nominated trees.
